Rakuten Insight Global, Inc., incorporated in Japan and its affiliates worldwide (you can find the affiliates here; https://insight.rakuten.com/about-us/) ('Rakuten Insight', 'we', 'us') provide various companies and organizations ("Clients") with consumer awareness and opinions for worldwide services and products, which are gathered from market research surveys conducted and coordinated by Rakuten Insight ("Surveys").
This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") was created to help you understand why and how Rakuten Insight which adopted this Policy use your information, and the rights and choices you have in this regard. Personal data is any information about you or your household, as well as a combination of pieces of information that could reasonably allow you or your household to be identified.
Rakuten Insight wants to ensure that, no matter how you use our services, you are empowered to make real choices about your information.
Such information gained from Surveys, reflecting the past and present of consumers’ insights, will enable Clients of Rakuten Insight to make better decisions about their services. We believe that the various insights from all users’ (including members of Rakuten Insight and visitors of Rakuten Insight websites, collectively referred to as "Users" or "you") gained through Surveys will empower society and our Clients. Rakuten Insight seeks to gather various opinions and impressions of various persons and different standpoints. Variety of opinions and impressions is the key value we deliver to society.
1. Personal data we use
We collect your personal data from different sources, including information you register to our membership, you provide in Surveys and we collect from you directly (e.g. when you contact us), and information we collect about you from other sources described below, so that we can verify the data you provided with us is correct or not:

- "Detailed Profile", which contains more detailed information about your lifestyle and life stage than Basic Profile (such as household size, number of children, number of cars, habits, preference, medical condition and etc);
- "Survey Data" of the answers you made in Surveys (such as answers, feedback and opinions to questions to know your insights for market research);
- Geographical location data, where you answered or participated in our Surveys or where you use our services;
- Records and history of your usage of Rakuten Insight services, including where and which Surveys you answered and when and how many points have been received and consumed by you;
- Inquiry and opinions to Rakuten Insight; and
- Cookie data and server logs which we collect automatically from you., e.g. data collected using cookies and other device identifying technologies ('Cookies and Tracking Technologies'). Further information about our use of Cookies and Tracking Technologies is available in our Cookies Policy.

- The Basic Profile, the Detailed Profile and any other necessary personal data for the performance of the contract: for 3 years after your have withdrawn from our member site;
- Survey Data: for as long as necessary for our services, including for our Clients’ services, after which it will be deleted without undue delay.
- Provisional registration data: for 6 months
We retain statistical and anonymous information about you to help improve our service.
We will only retain your personal data beyond the terms above if we are required to do so to comply with the law, or if there are outstanding claims or complaints that will reasonably require your personal data to be retained.

8. Third Party Contents
Our websites for the service embed links directing to other websites, especially when connecting to a Client’s survey system for Users to answer a survey on it. Rakuten Insight is not responsible for privacy practices of such other websites. Rakuten Insight encourages the User to be aware when the User is leaving Rakuten Insight’s Website, and to read the privacy statements of each website that collects personal data. This Policy applies solely to the processing activities collected and controlled by Rakuten Insight.

Rakuten Insight is the controller responsible for the personal data you provided us as our member database.
